What is the New York Times Academic Pass and how do I sign up?

University Libraries' subscription to the New York Times Academic Pass provides access to NYTimes.com and the NYT app to CCU students, faculty, and staff.
This subscription includes unlimited access to the NYT archives on the NYTimes.com website or app for the years 1851 through 1922 and from 1981 to the present day For the years 1923 through 1980, however, access is limited to 5 article views per person per day.
(The New York Times Academic Pass also does not include access to NYT games, crosswords, e-reader editions of the newspaper, or Times Premier content).
To sign up for your free account through the University Libraries subscription, click the New York Times Academic Pass Link from Databases A to Z. If you encounter an error screen when you click the link in Databases A to Z, choose the "ignore" option to continue. Follow the directions to create your NYtimes.com account.
Once you have registered for your account, you can login directly to NYTimes.com to access articles, or download the New York Times mobile app and login to the app to access articles.
